Wellbeing Centre

Saint Catherine’s Hospice

Saint Catherine’s Hospice in Scarborough is one of our most loyal customers, which we proudly support in various fundraising efforts whenever the occasion arises.
The hospice operates a vibrant day centre, which recently underwent a full refurbishment.
We were asked to create a new brand,  identity and name for the new-look centre and in addition, we were tasked with producing a series of displays to complement the interior decor, which included:

Printed, Personalised Wallpapers

THE LOUNGE

6.5m (w) x 2.4m (h) wallpaper featuring a morning sun shining through pine trees, in a field of pink/mulberry flowers, bordered with a drystone wall.

The photograph encourages positive feelings of warmth and security and is reminiscent of the North York Moors and nearby countryside. The drystone wall was retouched onto the original image to provide a visual ‘barrier’ – this was a specific request in order to respect guidelines for dementia patients.

This particular wallpaper was produced pro bono, as a gesture and contribution to Saint Catherine's Hospice.

THE ACCESS CORRIDOR

6.7m (w) x 1.7m (h) wallpaper featuring a local cornfield in a gentle breeze with azure blue sky.

The image promotes feelings of freedom and openness. A ‘cloud’ shape mimicking the petal/heart device in the logo was retouched into the sky, reflecting health and optimism.

THE HAIR SALON

3.1m x 1.2m wallpaper featuring a close-up sand/beach engraved with heart shape, with incoming tide lapping. Echoing the local seaside and healthy environment.

All wallpapers were printed and fitted on site by adverset. The material used was our textured wallpaper material.

Entrance Wall Decal

The logo and strapline were printed, CAD cut and fitted to the plaster wall to the right of the Wellbeing Centre entrance.

Literature Display

Designed and produced using a robust 10mm foamex, matt laminated and mounted with individual acrylic dispensers, this was positioned at a key visual point, immediately to the right, just inside the entrance. The display was raised off the wall with satin chrome wall studs.
