Sustainability policy

ECO Friendly

At Adverset Display, we take our responsibility to the environment very seriously. We're committed to minimising our impact on the planet while delivering high-quality printed display products.

From how we dispose of waste products to how we print our signs, every aspect of our business is guided by principles of sustainability.

Here's how we're doing it:

1. Responsible Waste Management

  • Material Recycling: All signage waste, including printed offcuts, is meticulously collected, sorted into substrate types and recycled through controlled waste agreements. Unprinted offcuts are repurposed whenever possible.
  • Waste Collection & Recycling: All other waste materials are sorted and sent for recycling. We strive to keep as much as possible out of landfills.
  • Ink Waste and Disposal: All ink cartridges are disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
  • All other waste is collected and reprocessed accordingly under a controlled waste disposal agreement.

2. Sustainable Printing Practices

  • Environmentally Friendly Inks: Wherever the type of product allows it, on roll fed printed work we use Latex ink technology
  • HP Latex Wide Format Printing: Transitioning to Latex printing is reducing our reliance on solvent-based inks. This isn’t just a better choice for the environment, but also promotes safety and reduces odours in public spaces. Latex ink is made up of 70% water, making it a greener option than traditional solvent-based ink. It helps us to meet our sustainability initiative.
  • FSC Accreditation: We partner with FSC-accredited paper merchants to ensure that our paper products come from responsibly managed forests. So all poster products are printed using FSC-accredited substrates.
  • Eco-friendly substrates: Wherever practical, we are driving towards eco-friendly printable materials. Most products now offer an eco-friendly alternative. A typical example would be our eco-friendly banner range.

We can supply a ‘Duty of Care’ document issued by our supplier on request. The document covers Product Stewardship, WWF Forest and Trade Network, Climate Change, Carbon Footprint data gathering, Supply Chain Support, Environmental Management, Social Responsibility, and more.

3. Packaging re-use Policy

  • Re-using existing packaging: All supplier packaging is sorted, stored and re-used to pack our outgoing despatches for signage, display and printed products.
  • New packaging avoidance: By re-using supplier consumables packaging to pack our own goods, we largely avoid the need to purchase new packaging, thus providing a responsible, sustainable internal recycling solution.

4. Reusable Fabric Stands

  • Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Our replacement stretch fabric stand graphics and covers allow for easy updates to your exhibition stands and displays without the need for entirely new infrastructure. By simply ordering replacement graphics, you can refresh your stands for different promotions, events or product launches – reducing waste and minimising your environmental impact.

Toner Cartridges

  • All office toner cartridges are collected and recycled through a local charity.

5. Energy Efficiency and Carbon Reduction

  • Monitoring Energy Usage: We closely monitor our power consumption and prioritise energy-efficient equipment to reduce CO2 emissions. Our chosen electricity provider also ensures we exclusively use 100% renewable electricity.

6. Sustainable Transport

  • Green Fleet: All company vehicles at Adverset Display will be either hybrid or electric by 2025, reflecting our commitment to reducing carbon emissions. As electric charging infrastructure improves, we aim to transition to a fully electric fleet.
